Workshops
I have developed some workshops suitable for community groups. Please get in touch if you need more info, or want to adapt these workshops to your group. Occasionally I will offer these workshops for free to general public and will put details on Instagram and Facebook.

Hand Sewn Repairs & Decorative Mending Workshop
Learn the essential stitches and techniques for hand-sewn clothing repair in a relaxed, supportive setting. This workshop covers:
- Basic hand stitches for mending
- Replacing zips and buttons
- Patching and decorative (visible) mending
- Simple Alterations
Each session is slightly different depending on the preferences of the group. To support your learning beyond the workshop, you’ll receive a set of notes detailing the stitches, zip techniques, and patching methods covered—something to refer back to as you continue mending at home.
Letter Sweater (tattoo your tee)
Do you have a phrase you would like to embroider on a tee-shirt or sweater? This is a hands-on embroidery session, where you’ll learn the basics of chain stitch on a tee-shirt or sweater—perfect for easy removal if needed.
So whether you want to make a eco friendly Christmas sweater, or add some personality to a plain t-shirt – this is a fun and creative way to personalise or add flair to your clothes.
All materials will be provided, including felt test pieces for those who prefer not to stitch directly onto their own clothing right away.
Craft Meet Ups
Yarn Collective Galway currently meet in every other Wednesday in the Secret Garden Sea Road, from 18.30 to 20.30…….We knit, crochet, and embroider and chat……these are not classes but we all are very happy to skill share.
